Sharing some good times...

One of my best friends Darel works for Syracuse city. He used to babysit me when I was a kid. One day he invited the boys to come see his truck. The front of the truck has a long huge tube and it's basically a vacuum. So after they dig around the manhole and are done cleaning it out they vacuum up all the dirt and rocks and replace the grass. It was really loud but the boys had a good time watching it. Darel is amazing with kids, always has been, and he had AJ believing he made his dinosaur toy disappear. He had shown them it was a vacuum by putting some garbage under the hose and it got sucked away. Then the boys kept finding garbage they wanted to put in the hose too. The boys had a good time and they looked so cute watching I had to snap some pics on my camera phone. (Darel is the mountain man in the red shirt).





Recently the primary had a bike parade. I took AJ down and we decorated his bike and then they rode up and down Banbury to show off their bikes. When we got back to the church we all had popcicles and then as a surprise the fire department came and hooked up their truck and sprayed all the kids. It was a blast. All the adults that didn't want to get wet waited by the church doors and the kids were way out in the parking lot. When the water started to spray everyone went running and screaming! The water sprayed way farther than anyone thought and all the adults were running away...if you ask me I think the firefighters did it on purpose to get a laugh. It was pretty funny and even from where I was standing I was getting wet myself. They were parked on the furthest west side of the parking lot and I was on the furthest east side. Man I never knew how far those trucks could spray.
